Long week end. These are beautiful little holidays during a long work trudge.

Long week end

The sun goes down on another week…………… and all is well.

Long week end

A long week end led to a short working week and that in itself is something to love. Wind and cold aside what could be better than an extra day to visit a cute bar.   www.pocketsydney.com.au.  I had a Pocket Martini..$19.00 that included passionfruit, vodka, orange, mint and pomegranate ….. it was delicious. Urban grunge chic, with Grandmas old wine glasses is the vibe.

Long week end James's cake

This week there was cake……… a Train cake for James Emmi’s first birthday.

Log week end

And finally the thing that made me laugh.

This is the scene. A seagull on the loose.  It is unusual to see meat outside a shopping centre in Sydney.

Long week end meet in Marrickville

Did I hear you say HACCP?

Long week end in marrickville

Really nobody will notice a quick peck …. will they?

Long week end seagulls

I’ll just stand here like I’m completely innocent……………..

Long week end seagulls eating meat

I’ll take a run at it. There are no chips inland at Marrickville….. hows a guy supposed to resist?

How was your week?…………………………..any Seagulls in it?

No one could believe how good the cake was! For real! I took pics of James looking at it while we sang happy birthday. The spiced apple base was my fave… But the kids all had seconds of the chocolate. Clever lass! Love you & thank you.xxx

    Tan – I loved today’s blog. I loved James’ choo choo train cake – can’t believe he’s already 1.

And I totally loved the Marrickville butcher/bus stop/taxi stand. HACCP????

Your timing is excellent – how is it you’re in the right place at the right time? You’re such a clever girl!

Always have a camera is the answer to that question. I can whip out my camera before you can say HACCP……..
