My Week at My Kitchen Stories included a visit to Kangaroo Island .
My Week involved Tranquil water and white sand.
Some times when things look calm on the surface there is a lot going on underneath. This is always true but My Week this week was fun and contained lots of food. have you ever been to Kangaroo Island?
This week for me included a trip to Kangaroo Island to see first hand how a Maeve O’Meara runs her Gourmet Food Tours here. There is more on this next post.
But first……….
Here’s what a flight to Kangaroo Island can look like. Tiny. There is always a long walk to a small flight. The nerves begin with the first turn of the rotar at the front. The flight over South Australia is always spectacular. A patchwork a bit like a Balinese quilt. Incredibly fertile and farms galore.
The surprising flight over the food bowl of South Australia. This sight goes on as far as the eye can see for at least an hour!
The beauty of the island and the view from a friends house. Only on Kangaroo Island dry, blue, green and beautiful all at the same time. very Australia.
This is Rosie. She lives at a winery. There are a number of wineries on Kangaroo Islands and Rosie is famous for her antics as a chicken catcher. Bad Rosie
The long and windy roads and travel around Kangaroo Island. There was a lot of great food to be had on Kangaroo Island but one of the highlights was this beer can cooked chicken
And a lovely touch from the authorities of Adelaide, South Australia, who were kind enough to provide a musical interlude at the airport on Friday afternoon…….?? So good. Calming after a tiny little flight.
Hope you have a great week. Look out for my post on Gourmet Food Tour…….Kangaroo Island.
I really want to visit this island.
