P plates and Elephants and life more stressful moments. They pass and we move on.
Yes, I can rest now and reflect on the bigger picture, only NOW
Do you know what this is????
It represents terror and dread for all mothers of teenagers . P plates. Cute picture, don’t you think?
My week included worry. This occurs when a newish teenager embarks on a journey with friends in the school holidays. It will happen, this much we know, it is how this large and scary step is handled by the parent that is the test of time. Skater assures me that the driver has had their license ‘for ages’
Upon further questioning the time amounts to 8 weeks.
OMG let me get through this……………
Even Ruby the Vegetarian Dog is waiting in Skaters room for his return.
A few years back I volunteered at the Elephant Valley project in Cambodia. It is a sanctuary for abused elephants. The founder and the beating heart of this sanctuary is Jack Highwood. His jungle home is very basic and one of the drawbacks of living in the jungle ( and visiting the jungle) are all of the spiders and scorpions. I had news he was bitten by a spider and was extremely unwell. I just couldn’t imagine what might happen to the Elephants at the the Elephant Valley Project in Cambodia if something happened to him. What would become of his rescued Elephants?
I had two favourite tastes this week. Ripe tomatoes and Meredith dairy Goat Chevre
I visited Bakery Sugar Craft in Willoughby. I love this shop. I buy things I don’t even need. There is so much to see.
A great place to buy everything for decorating and very helpful staff too!
There was of course cake. There is always cake. This is a beauty . It’s an Apple sauce cake with Pistachios. Get recipe here
The week ended with the safe return of Skater. A little older, wiser and more experienced perhaps. What a great time of life for him……….
NOW LET ME SIT UNDER THAT TREE AND BREATH………………………………………..
how was your week??

It is my pleasure. You have managed to include a block buster movie and a hit song in your comment, well done!
