All aboard!! Woohoo.
This must be Sydney’s most unique wine event. Just imagine sipping wine on an island right in the middle of Sydney harbour
This is in third year and it promises to be bigger and better than ever. Put the timer on for Friday 10th November to Sunday 12th November 2017. ( tickets on sale soon)
Where is Wine Island?
Its on Clark Island, a small green paradise Island right off the tip of Darling Point near Double Bay in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. It spans a hectare with green space and curated bush tracks to wander. This is an exclusive event with limited numbers of tickets sold.
The cost of a ticket includes transportation by boat to Clarke Island. You’ll board the ferry for the short ride to Wine Island and your ticket will include a glass of sparkling in your own wine island tumbler to get you in the mood.
Once ashore there will be over 100 wines to choose from and for those on a real island bent there’ll be wine based cocktails like Proscecco Margaritas and Sangrias.
It’s not all about the drinking though, you’ll have a chance to do Masterclasses and chat to winemakers. Eating will be taken care of by Warren Turnbull from Chur Burger. You’ll be able to buy freshly shucked oysters, cheese platters, Hawaiian poke, fish tacos, lamb on the spit and of course burgers. They’ll be music and a special club house on the hill.
Chill on the grass, talk to winemakers or dance at the silent disco.
Packages to paradise begin at $99 for the 5 Star experience and include your ferry transfers, a glass of sparkling for the journey across, 5 wine tastings, a Wine Island tumbler and access to masterclasses (excluding Dessert Island (sweet wines)which can be purchased for an additional $30).
