Ingredients
Wontons
  • 200gm wonton wrappersyellow egg wontons, 1 packet
  • 250 gm Turkey minceor Chicken mince
  • 1 clove Black garlic mayonnaisecrushed
  • 1 1/2Tablespoons gingergrated
  • 20 ml Soy Saucelight not dark/ 1 tablespoon
  • 20ml Sesame oil/1 tablespoon
  • *2tablespoons breadcrumbsfresh or Panko
  • 1/4teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg yolkfor sealing the wontons
Dipping Sauce
  • 40ml Soy Saucelight/ 2 Tabspn
  • 40ml Sesame oil2 Tabspn
  • 40ml lemon Juice2 Tabspn
  • 1teaspoon chiveschopped
  • 1/4teaspoon chillichopped
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. *Mix the Turkey, ginger, soy, garlic, salt, sesame and crumbs in a bowl to combine.
  2. Lay the wonton wrappers on the bench put a small cigarette sized piece of mixture onto each wonton wrapper.
  3. Paint around the perimeter of each wrapper with your finger dipped in to the egg. Then roll up and seal the ends like a bonbon
  4. Pop into the fridge and discard the leftover egg.
  5. Before cooking, make the dipping sauce by combining all of the ingredients.
  6. Shallow fry the wontons on a medium heat turning, so they brown slowly on all sides. Or drop them into hot oil and cook on all sides at once if you prefer.
  7. Drain on kitchen paper and continue. Test one to make sure they are cooked through Serve with the dipping sauce.
  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and a little salt
Recipe Notes

The breadcrumbs absorb the moisture of the Turkey/ chicken while cooking and prevent the
wrappers from splitting.

Some minced meats are wetter than other. Add more breadcrumbs to make a nice firm mince mix. You may need to add a little extra salt to the mixture if you add more crumbs. Just a small pinch.

If the wrappers split a little don’t worry too much.
