Dwayne from Oven express

Dwayne from Oven express

Last month as I was sitting at a red light in peek hour traffic and I noticed a van beside me that boasted oven cleaning. I scratched around for a pen and copied down the number, thinking what a good idea this would be. I never have the time for oven cleaning, besides it’s always on and I’m baking something. Life never ceases to bowl up a surprise and that is just what I got when I checked my emails the next day. I received an email from Oven Express offering a review of their services. A happy, spooky coincidence.

Texting, is very convenient

Texting, is very convenient

Someone  rang me to organise a time, and that is the most strenuous thing I had to do. They texted the night before, and then again to say they were running late.

Surprisingly Oven express is a 7 year old company. They work 7 days a week form 8am to 7pm in an effort to fit in with busy lives. They are Sydney based and service and clean ovens and BBQ’s & even microwaves . Bbq’s are of course a popular service they fulfill , especially as Christmas and summer roll around. A clean takes around two hours with bits and pieces soaked in the van and then scrubbed by hand. And bonus…they use    eco-friendly cleaning solutions. So how did it go?

What’s not to love about somebody cleaning your oven or BBQ. Especially if they do a good job, are well mannered neat and clean. Prices start from $120.00 for an oven/stove combo including range hood and filters and from $150.00 for BBQ. As he was cleaning I thought this would be a great thing to do if you are moving house or as the perfect gift. Ha, Christmas could be wrapped up here.

You may have noticed my poor excuse for a kitchen in my rented house. This is the kitchen everything is pumped from round here. Most of my friends find that amusing! Oven Express worked with the what I had and did an fantastic job.

I just read about the oven-cleaning man on Charlie’s blog and I am all in favour of a man cleaning – especially ovens. He does a fabulous job.

Oh I so want them to come to Canberra! My oven is on nearly every day, and sometimes several times a day. Yesterday dinner was in the oven art 11:30 am and ticked away for 7 hours, it would have been nice to check it from time to time but I can’t through the glass at the moment 🙂 It looks like a wonderful service indeed, and great value too xox

It’s always the door that confounds me when I’m cleaning the oven – it never sparkles. What a great idea especially if you are using the oven every day. I’m impressed that Dwayne put down towels on the floor too. And I had no idea a service like this even existed!

What a cool service! I hate to clean the oven, but having someone over to clean it would cost quite a bit…and I am worry about the chemical they use…

They have one of those up here on the coast and I was wondering if it would be worth it. Even a few times a year would be a big boost. 🙂

I love having a clean oven as much as I love a clean car and these are two jobs I just love to out source. I figure if you use your oven enough for it to be dirty, you’re worthy of a mobile oven cleaning service because of all that money you’ve saved not buying takeaway! xx

Don’t suppose they have a Brisbane branch? My only concern is the products they use but these guys sound perfect for me!
